You were a shining light in the Moon/Ross clan. You and Aunt Margaret welcomed me into the family with love and open arms. I always looked forward to seeing your smile and hearing your laugh. You will be forever in our hearts.

I am so grateful that God saw fit to place Robert in my life. His joy, his smile and his laughter was infectious. His love was unconditional and his understanding of life and people was both wise and enviable. I will always cherish the moments we had and will hold his memory dear to my heart. I always felt from the time we met that he should’ve been my papaw. And he was, not by blood, but because he chose to be. His heart was so big that he had room to love me too and treat me like one of his own. I will never forget that kindness. He was truly special, an Angel in my life.

If you knew Bob, you knew he loved his family dearly. He was always so proud of each of you. He never left any doubt about that. Bob loved life and he loved people. He was always happy to see you and you could tell by the way he greeted you that you were important to him. He always greeted us with a smile, even when he wasn't feeling his best. I honestly think he liked everyone he met. He told some great stories, usually about his family, his biking days or his driving days. (And boy, he had some stories to tell. Hehehe.) He might have been a little rowdy in his younger days, but he lived life to the fullest. The only part I think he would change was how he sometimes road that bike a little too roughly when Margaret was with him. He always said he regretted scaring her some of those times because she wouldn't ride with him any more. He always said he understood why she wouldn't ride with him but that he missed her on those two-wheeled rides. We will miss Bob's smiling face, whether walking up and down the straight-stretch, sitting on the porch or out in the yard.
