Mary Pauline Bays

February 17, 1930 - February 27, 2015

Mary Pauline Bays, 85, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 27, 2015 at Madison Park, Huntington, WV. She was born February 17, 1930 in Lincoln Co., WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Wade Quentrill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrius “Dee” Bays and several brothers and sisters. Mary was a retired employee of Coyne Textile. Survivors include a son, Roger (Sharon) Bays; a daughter, Sandra (Johnnie) Burnett; granddaughters, Laura Ward, Kim (Mark) Carey and Michelle Burnett; great granddaughters, Danielle Ward, Sarah Ward, Hannah Carey and Emillee Carey; a sister, Louise Chapman; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Billie Burton who took such special care of Polly at Madison Park. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Rev. Bill Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 7 Monday at the funeral home.
