    Ronald P. Roberts, 72, of South Point, OH died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY. He was born July 27, 1941 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Clifford and Mary Bailey Roberts. He was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt Trucking and a subcontractor for Bailey Construction. Ronald was a 13 year veteran of the US Army and served three tours in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jean Rowsey Roberts; one brother, Donald Roberts; and one sister, Linda Pennington. He is survived by a son, Richard Roberts of South Point, OH; three daughters, Teresa Stewart of Ironton, OH, and Valerie Roberts and Dreama Miller, both of South Point; one sister, Sandy Runyon of South Point; two brothers, Charlie Roberts of New London, OH and Clifford “Pete” Roberts of Texas; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren: 3 great, great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Beginning at 4:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2014 there will be a gathering of family and friends at his home at 62 Township Road 1402, South Point to celebrate the life of Ronald P. Roberts.
