Freddie Sloan

Freddie Sloan, 78, of South Point, Ohio died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born December 23, 1937 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Bascom and Nancy Hockaday Sloan.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Turner; a daughter, Cheryl Sloan; and a sister Dorothy Sloan.  He is survived by his children, Amber Sloan, Freddy Annette Sloan, Karmaletha Hatcher, Frederico Hatcher, Tonya Sloan, Freddie Sloan, Jr. and Lloyd Sloan; a brother, Charles Brooks; 10 grandchildren, Nythau Brown, Marcus Sloan, Ean Brown, Zy-Yon Sloan, Damon Harris, Sierra Hackworth, Stephen Green, Donte Harris, Shyne Green, Marybella Bailey and Kaprisia Hatcher; and a great grandchild, Ny-Khale Botts.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
